Our global healthcare client understood that data literacy skills were key to unlocking productivity within their business teams.
How could they launch such a significant undertaking and ensure global coverage?
Their key requirements were:
- Enable data literacy skills for a global workforce
- Ensure the training could fit employees’ work schedules
- Custom training that suited their organisational needs
- Engage teams to encourage learning
- Ensure practical skills that could transform business operations
To address these issues, Decision Crew designed a custom training program fit for our client’s needs.
We aimed to ensure that trainees didn’t only learn new skills, but would be excited to implement it in their workplace.
Our Process
Solution Overview
Using our data consultancy experience, we divided the data literacy problem into 4 skill areas:
- Data Analysis: Understanding standard data terminology and processes
- Data Automation: Understanding the process of data engineering and key concepts
- Data Governance: What data governance is and how it is managed within organisations
- Data Visualisation: How to design and develop KPI dashboards
Given the complexity & breadth of the topic, we used cartoon animation videos to illustrate and teach the first 3 topics in this list.
For Data Visualisation, we created a 2-day, hands-on training course that could be delivered online to a global audience.
Key Achievements:
- Engaging & fun training material: The interactive, hands-on and content with quizzes was well received & reviewed by participants
- Tailored approach: We delivered a customized training course using our client’s data to increase trainee engagement
- Ease of communication: We created a customer portal to engage directly with students and share materials
- Great Support: We created additional support videos to address questions that fell outside of the curriculum
- Quality trainers: We used trainers who had data visualisation expertise and could give tips & advice on best practices
Overall, this was a comprehensive approach to delivering a training program that exceeded our clients’ expectations.
